A Special Tent-Making opportunity for Ministry Workers

My daughter, Brooke and I have teamed up  to offer missionaries a tent-making opportunity to raise funds that we hope will be a real help to those serving on the field.

Brooke and her family have been involved in cross-cultural missions for the past 20 years with 12 of those years spent primarily in East Asia. During that time, like many other missionaries, their sole source of income was from the generous donations of their partners. But they found that over the years, lack of finance was one of the biggest reasons missionaries return home.  

Now that I (Rex) have retired from a 40-year career in precious metals, I wanted to offer missionaries a way to earn a side income by extending our widow's mite necklaces to them at wholesale cost. We recognize that for most full-time workers, this will not replace the need for dedicated, monthly supporters, nor would we want it to. Our hope is that this tent-making method simply adds to their regular support, helps with occasional needs such as plane tickets and conferences, or provides for ministry expansion. 

And the ancient widow's mite is such a special product to offer because of the rich, biblical meaning that it holds for us as believers. (For the full story found in Mark 12,  please read here.) Each of our widow's mites is authenticated in Israel before arriving to us. (You can read more about the process here.) It's possible that some of these coins could have literally passed through the hands of Jesus!

What this practically looks like:

Any short or long-term missionary or ministry worker who would like to be included, is welcome to sign up. Their name can then go onto our widow's mite retail page as an option for people to donate the profit of their purchase towards. 

The current retail price for our ancient coin necklace is $139 (which is a fair market price), however, we offer part-time and full-time missionaries and other Christian ministry workers the necklace at a significantly lower wholesale price.  Following a verification of your ministry association we will provide you the special discount prices for all our items along with our simple agreement form to complete.

We also wanted to make sure that our service was a no-risk offer for missionaries and that all of the outsourcing was handled by us here in the US. That means that missionaries can be living anywhere in the world, share a link for necklace, and within 30 days receive funds for their ministry. We handle all of the transaction costs, product storage, and shipping from our office in Colorado.
